Implementation Plan

The school's Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) is the official charter document for the school. This plan is the contract between Volcano School of Arts & Sciences and theHawaii State Board of Education, describing the school's philosophy, structure, and how the school will be run. The original DIP was written in 2000 as the application for a charter. Much of the language is written in terms of what the school intends to do once the charter is granted. Currently, a school committee is working to update the DIP to reflect the mature and operating school we have become.
