The A Plus Afterschool Program

A Plus is a state funded program available at the Volcano School. The program is open every school day from 2:15 until 5:30. Students in grades K through 6 whose parents are working, attending school, or doing job training are eligible to participate. Fees are based on income, and can range anywhere from $85 per month to free. Please note that effective 6/14/11, the DOE increased fees for A Plus to $85 per student with no sibling discounts. All families are encouraged to apply for free or reduced fees. 

Activities at A Plus include arts and crafts, supervised outdoor play, and time to complete homework. A snack and a juice are provided each day.

Afterschool Enrichment Program

The enrichment program provides four sessions per year of after school classes and activities for children and families of greater Volcano. Types of courses offered are ceramics, weaving, gymnastics, chorus, drumming, ukulele, track & field, soccer, and latin dance. Fees are determined predominately by the instructor and range from free to $60 for a 6-8 week session.
